Scarf: I wish I knew! It was a gift from my grandma, the only tag on it says “made in India.” It’s warm when it’s cold outside, it breathes when it’s hot outside, it’s soft and supple and I’ve worn it so much that it’s fraying at every available edge. Its days are numbered.
Current Obsession: I wish I had more of this scarf. More scarves, in general. Let’s go get all the scarves!!

Yellow afghan poncho: Brown Elephant thrift store. I saw this in the thrift store and laughed at it, and moved on. I passed by it again on my way out and snickered at its garishness. I went home and couldn’t stop thinking about it. I passed it in the window for days afterwards, and my derision turned to affection, and my affection turned into longing. Before the week was out I was rushing back to the store and praying no one had bought it yet. Now it’s one of my favorite pieces of clothing.
